Early Morning Moon

Watercolor - Late September 2011 - View Ct, Oakridge, OR

Wolves are Wild...

...unless you dress them up in a business suit and place a fragile tea cup in their hands, I mean paws, I mean dangling from their claws...
Ah yes, it is time to say "Aloha to Oakridge," as I depart from the forest so full of life and head toward the warm winter waters of Maui!  Take off is set for December 6th!  Here I am, a picture from a year or so ago, hovering above the Willamette River on the gorgeous rusty bridge that guides you out of Greenwaters Park and out toward some great trails, road riding, and bird watching in the depths of the forest... It is a perfect spot to scope out Dippers bouncing from rock to rock, Mergansers cruising low above the turbulent waters, and Osprey soaring high and perching in nearby trees that line the waters edge.  I have done a few paintings while on the bridge, some dancing and balancing on beams, and plenty of zooming across on mi bicicleta!

I will miss this place and look forward to future visits: can't wait for the time where I can reunite my bike with the trails I have come to know...
Aloha to Oakridge, and Aloha from Justine...
